Leonor Beleza graduated in Law from the Faculdade de Direito at the Universidade de Lisboa, where she also served as Assistant Professor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout her professional career, she has held various prominent public and private positions, including Secretary of State for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (1982-1983), Secretary of State for Social Security (1983-1985), and Minister of Health (1985-1990). Elected as a member of Parliament on several occasions, she served as Vice-President of Parliament between 1991-1994 and 2002-2005, and she is currently a member of the Council of State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
