Madalena Meyer Resende

Madalena Meyer Resende is Associate Professor at the FCSH – NOVA University of Lisbon. She was a fellow at the European University Viadrina (Frankfurt-Oder) and at the Centre for European Policy Studies (Brussels). She holds a PhD in Political Science from the London School of Economics (2005). The geographical focus of her research is on Central and Eastern Europe and Southern Europe, on nationalism and Catholicism and constitutionalism. She is a member of the board of the Wilfried Martens Centre, Brussels. She was President of the Portuguese Political Science Association (APCP) and is Vice-President of the International Political Science Association (IPSA). Madalena writes regularly for the press.
