Valentino Valentini has built a distinguished career spanning European and Italian institutions over nearly four decades. He began as an official at the European Parliament in 1987, where he gained extensive experience in European affairs and institutional dynamics. In 1999, he transitioned to national politics as Executive Assistant to Silvio Berlusconi. From 2001, he served in senior advisory roles throughout Berlusconi’s second (2001-2006) and third (2008-2011) governments, holding positions including Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister and Special Adviser on Foreign Relations. Elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2006, Valentini served continuously until 2022. During his parliamentary tenure, he was a member of the European Affairs and Foreign Affairs Committees and represented Italy in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. From 2020 to 2022, he held the position of Deputy Group Leader in the Chamber. During the previous legislature, he also served as International Relations Adviser to the President of the Senate, accompanying Italy’s second-highest constitutional office holder in international activities and engagements. Since October 31, 2022, he has served as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy in the Meloni government. In this role, he holds a unique dual mandate for investment attraction: he operates both in his official ministerial capacity and through direct assignment from Prime Minister Meloni.
